Dear Readers,
We appreciate your patience while our reporters develop journalism skills and report their stories. We’ve got good stuff coming soon.
For now, we’re reaching out to invite you all into our virtual newsroom and participate in the news production process. Here at Report Card, we believe that the more people involved in making the news, the better.
That’s why we’re asking you all to help guide our coverage. In order to ensure that we are providing a service with our reporting, we want to hear from you all about what kind of stories you’d like to see us cover, what questions you have that we can try to answer, and any other ways we can enhance the education community with our journalism.
Through this form, we are collecting tips/questions/concerns from New York City community members with a connection to city schools (students, educators, caregivers, etc). We want to hear from you! Your responses to the form won't be directly used in a story. They will be used to help us identify issues to report on that matter to the community. But if you want to leave your contact information and do an interview with one of our student reporters, there is a space for you to do that.

This next form is a little more specific. One of our reporters, Nicole, is working on a story about the teaching of Black history in the classroom and its impact on students, the new Advanced Placement African American studies course, as well as the criticism it has received from conservative politicians. Nicole is hoping to hear from students about their experiences with the AP course and with Black history education more generally. Please share this survey with any students who may be interested in sharing.

Thanks so much for your help, everyone. Keep a look out for reported stories coming soon.
