Dear Readers,
Report Card is accepting four new students this summer. Please share this sign-up form with any middle or high school students in the greater New York City area who may be interested in learning basic reporting skills and then getting their story published in our newsletter.

Students will be admitted on a first-come basis. If you aren't one of the first four to sign up, you should still fill out the form to get in line for next time.
When students join, they receive basic training in reporting and journalistic writing. Then, students pick a local education issue to report on and write a story about. We provide guidance and help throughout the entire process, which can be time consuming, but is also hopefully educational and exciting. We do our best to accommodate students’ schedules. At the end, students' stories are published in our newsletter.
Students receive a $100 stipend to cover their reporting expenses.
Learning the ropes of journalism, and then working on a story until it is ready for publication, is a time commitment. Students who sign up should expect to spend about one hour in our training sessions each week, and about two hours every week working on their stories independently. Please, only sign up if you can make this time commitment.
We look forward to hearing from you.
